Unusual Jobs
Ever heard of a chicken sexer or odor judger? The former determines what sex a baby chick is and the latter sniffs underarms to see if deodorants work. Those are just a couple of the many unusual jobs out there. Here are two more:
1. A fruit colorer, with the application of steam and chemicals, gives citrus fruit a more natural coloring. Why is that necessary? Because fruit is usually picked before it is fully ripe, so it is still green.
2. Easy-chair tester. This job position at the La-z-Boy Company (and probably others) must be very relaxing. They employ furniture testers to check out their recliners and other furniture.
