A Career as a Fashion Designer

Do you have what it takes to be a fashion designer? Not everyone does. Of course you need a sense of style, the ability to see how styles are trending and you need a great sense of imagination and an ability to sketch clothing. Attending a fashion school will help you to hone your design skills. Another reason that you’ll want to attend a fashion school is that this is the easiest way to get an internship or apprenticeship in major fashion houses. Major design schools have placement programs for their graduates and under-graduates. Internships and apprenticeships allow students to receive real life experience in the fashion industry.
