Auto Insurance Claims

August 25th, 2008

If you happen to be involved in an accident for the first time, you can easily not be aware of what to do. This is natural and you may be shaken up after the bump. If this happens, the first thing you should do is phone the police. Your insurance company will almost certainly need an accident or police number. Plus they can also tell you exactly what you need to do. Once you have called the police, you need to get the contact details of the other person in the other car. Also write down the registration number of the car. This will give you the basic details. Also as soon as you buy a car you should check for any modifications that may have been done. Adjustments to the engine, water for gas kits and anything else you find need to be mentioned to the insurance company.
