How is an Extended Car Warranty Different?

February 26th, 2009

Before you purchase your new or used vehicle, it is important to understand the warranty that comes with it.  Not all warranties are the same.  For example, extended car warranties extend the coverage of bumper to bumper.  This covers everything from one end of the car to the other, except the tires and brakes.  Extended warranties prolong the duration that you are covered for the cost of these repairs.  A powertrain warranty is different.  This covers all the parts that make the car move, such as the engine and transmission.  Look closely at the warranty, whether extended or manufacturer, before signing to purchase your next vehicle.
