Apostilles

June 22nd, 2009

In the process of Legalize Document, apostilles are required to make the document legal and acceptable.  This is particularly needed when transactions whether personal or business are done in different countries.  Apostille is a French word which means “to do marginal notes”.  For members of the Hague Convention, a document certified by apostille would not require additional legalization.  It is admitted on the state level of the participant countries.  Certain uses of apostille include: marriage to a foreign citizen, documents for studying or working abroad and for inheritance and other estate purposes.  For visa purpose, some countries require apostille for minor children to travel abroad.
