Does Hiding in Solar Make Sense?

February 11th, 2009

As far as the investing headlines go, it is difficult to know what to trust and what to fear. But in New Jersey, Public Service Electric and Gas Co (PSE&G) proposed a $773 Billion plan that would not only help the state meet seven percent of its renewal energy through to 2020, but would result in a fairly large solar facility.

While the companies in this arena are abundant, given the tremendous demand that is expected to be seen over the coming years combined with the projected government spending, well-capitalized solar plays tend to make at least some sense insofar as long-term growth is concerned. Something worth considering.
