Juedes and Gering started with the investment of less than $7,000 worth of athletic shoes being marketed in their hometown and after 3 years, their cost list became a colored catalog and started hiring phone operators to handle mail orders. In 1989, Eastbay expanded more and needed team sales and in 1990, an in-house sales team was produced to handle mail and telephone orders. In the same year also, Eastbay set up a call center, shipping department, creative department and a lot more revenue team that occupied nearly an entire block of the city. Eastbay also opened up a clothing line offering jackets, pants, shorts and shirts with the Eastbay signature logo and comes in different colors and styles.
