Internet Dependency

April 29th, 2008

Internet dependency seems to be growing and spreading like a contagious, incurable disease for which there is no cure.  Every day, a new Internet addict is born.  Somewhere out there, you can hear the clicking of the mouse, the rapid keystrokes on the keyboard, the scrolling through a hundred useless pages..and all for what?  Information.  The Internet has become one of the most valuable resources for human communication, sales, marketing, advertising, directions, recipes, toys, gift ideas, floorplans, home buying, real estate, schools, books, music and more.  You name it; the Internet has it.  There is literally nothing that the Internet can’t provide you with.  From how to tie your shoe to cures for the common cold, the Internet definitely has it all.  You can even watch old movies, tv shows, clips of video and other forms of media.  So then, what does this mean for the future of television?  I think television will still be around, but the Interenet has definitely taken over in my household as the primary means of entertainment and communication.
