Stock market investing is fun

March 6th, 2009

The first time i heard about stock market investing i was barely twelve years old.  But the possibilities captured my imagination and I have been hooked on investing ever since.  My portfolio sports some modest dividend stocks, and some really risky speculative buys.

In the end I tend to break even, like most everyone else.  But the real enjoyment doesn’t come from the gains, but from the potential of gains.  It is just like going to Las Vegas.  You don’t go expecting a fortune.  You go to experience the ‘potential’ of winning a fortune.  Expecting something other than that is foolishness.
