With a volatile market, one is able to choose from low pricing commodities to riskier propositions and earn a decent income as buying and selling turns into a money making source of revenue. Land is also another means to make money. Land is in short supply and homes, buildings and other structures will need to be built as the population continues to grow. An apartment can be bought and rented out to tenants which will produce additional revenue aside from the monthly paycheck. A second job is another possibility in making money fast.
