Time management skills

May 1st, 2008

To make the best use of your time it is beneficial to have a clear idea of how you actually spend it so that you can identify areas for improvement in your time management. We all think we know where our hours are spent but when you look closely at your days you’d be surprised how you really spend your time. For this reason I recommend a time-log as an essential part of good time management skills. All you need to do is take note of how your time is spent each day. This will take a little time to do each day but you only need to do it for a week or two and it is well worth it. When you do this for a couple of weeks an look back over how you spent your time you can clearly see which activities are worthwhile and which are a waste of your time.
