When you need a Home Safety Inspection
December 13th, 2008
If you are selling your home, getting the inspection done is a must. That way, you are clear on all problems the house may have, and have proven your willingness to have things fixed. Also, if you have already reached a price, it will be more expensive to you. It is customary that you will pay for the replacements. The home safety inspection report will check the order of the heating system, air conditioning system, plumbing and electrical systems. The roof, attic, and any open insulation. Also, they will assess walls, ceilings, floors, doors and windows as well as the foundation, basement, and open structure. Many inspectors will also offer extra services not included in a usual home inspection, such as mold and water testing. Home safety inspections are not that expensive, and can save you money in the long run. When you are able to either sell or purchase a home, it is wise to get the home safety inspection performed. however, it is in your best interest, and your budget. It is better to find dangerous structures or hidden worries before the price is done. When you have the home inspected, you can have everything as it should be and working properly before you sign the papers, therefore handing over all responsibilities you have for the repairs.
