Who Can Compare?

I have always wondered if the inheritance tax UK imposes is more or less than that which the U.S. imposes. I am not real sure how to go about finding out. If there is anyone out there that knows the answer please let me know. The U.S. broke from the UK in the past because of unfair taxation. I am curious if the government of these colonies have moved to copy the level of inheritance tax the the UK has all these years later or if the tax is lower. The wealthy know which loopholes in the laws allow them to avoid taxes but what about the common man?
