Will the state pay for my health insurance

I am almost seventeen years old and live in the state of California,  I have been told that when I became emancipated that I no longer covered under my parents medical policy where the work.    First of all is this true?  If it is not,  is there some place where I can get california state health insurance paid for by the state or someone else that can give me coverage?  I will need it to cover me until I can get a job that gives coverage.  How will I go about getting coverage for my baby and will I lose it if I get a job and make too much money?
