Would I Be Able to Get a Loan?

I have just found out that my sister is really ill and I would like to fly out to see her and help her out. However, I really don’t have the money to do that right now. It looks like she might not make it and I would hate to miss out on a last chance to spend time with her. Can anyone tell me whether or not I might be able to get a personal loan to allow me to do this? Hopefully I could get the time off of work if I can come up with the money.
