A Look at American Medical Security Insurance

American Medical Insurance is a Wisconsin-based health insurance company that specializes in both individual and group health coverage. The great thing about this plan is that there are a few high-deductible options for healthy families that don’t have the budget for a full health insurance plan.

The two favored plans of choice for American Medical Security (also known as United Wisconsin) include: MedOne Plus and MedOne Security. The difference between the two health insurance plans mainly comes down to the premiums and amount of coverage. MedOne Plus offers more coverage, but at a higher cost.

Within the MedOne Plus plan you’ll also find a beneficial health insurance option known as a HSA (health savings account).  Use this option if you want a tax write-off for health expenses incurred during your insurance coverage.

American Medical Security has received an A.M. Best rating of A- and has special options for any family size or group. Overall, this is a great family health insurance plan.
