Dog Allergies Can Really Change Your Life

Dogs are wonderful creatures. They bring a lot of joy to our families as they quickly become just another one of the family. We are a society that really loves our dogs. However, dog allergies affect so many people that having a dog can be an almost impossible task. If you are affected with severe pet allergies, if you are in the general area as a dog you can find yourself breaking out in hives or having difficulty breathing. Other symptoms can include swelling, rapid heartbeat, itchy eyes, nasal congestion, and a scratchy throat. You might be a dog lover but find yourself unable to be around them for an extended period of time. There are medications that may ease the symptoms enough for you to tolerate them. You could also try vacuuming with a HEPA equipped vacuum cleaner more often to get the pet dander out of your home. If your symptoms are severe though, you may find that these suggestions don’t quite make your home comfortable enough for you to co-exist with your dog. In this case your only choice would be to find another home for him. A dog allergy can seemingly come on with little warning but can really change your life, especially if you are a dog lover.
