Purple Corn & Colon Cancer

August 28th, 2008

If you use Solgar South American Purple Corn, you may be able to decrease your risk of colon cancer without decreasing your intake of the foods you love. Grilling is one of the tastiest and healthiest ways to prepare meat, as juices are seared in and fats drip out. Unfortunately, the especially tasty charred parts can be carcinogenic. In several Japanese health studies, two groups of people were both fed charred meat, but only one was also given purple corn. Only 40% of the group that received purple corn later developed colon cancer, versus 85% of the group that was given no purple corn.
