Which is the best flat iron?

The last time I was at the hair dressers she straightened out my hair with a flat iron and I really liked the way that it looked. I think I want to get a flat iron so that I can do this myself from time to time. Can anyone tell me which is the best flat iron? I want something that won’t do too much damage to my hair, but that will do a good job straightening it. I don’t want to spend a ton of money if I can avoid it, but if all of the good flat irons are expensive I am willing to pay for quality.
