Designers Black and Blum join ACID against product copying

Having suffered at the hands of copycatting herself and discovered that there was nowhere to turn former home accessories designer Dids Macdonald launched her own trade organisation ACID in 1998. The concept was to establish a trade body that would not only offer help to designers whose products had been copied, but one that would also lobby vigorously for greater government support in protecting Intellectual Property (IP) and call for better education in IP law across the whole design community.
