Dog Crates Make Travelling with Gun Dogs Safer

October 15th, 2008

My gun dogs have often been described as gangly and lovable creatures, but those long legs and adventurous dispositions can make travelling a bit of a challenge.  I always fear broken limbs with my gun dog’s long legs when we are on rough terrain, but nothing scares me more than having them lose in the back of my vehicle.  I insist that every time we travel, my gun dogs are in a crate to keep them from tripping, falling or even ending up in a position to distract me.  Crates make travelling easier, safer and just a better overall experience.
