Finding A Decorating Style – My Way

My mother and grandmother were interior decorators.  I am a website designer.

So, when it came time for me to furnish the new home I’d bought, I had plenty of advice.  The only problem was, I wanted a different style from anyone else’s but I hadn’t found it.

I decided to search the Internet, on a whim, to see if I could get ideas.  Immediately I found some wonderful contemporary bedroom furniture which was trendy, sharp, and just the perfect colors.

In the end I bought some pieces locally, as they struck my fancy.  But most of my home is furnished eclectically, from furniture I’ve bought online, from around the globe.

With all due respect to Mom and Grama, I’m perfectly happy with my non-designer approved decor- thank you very much.
