How Wind and Solar Power Work Together

January 23rd, 2009

Wind is one form of renewable energy  supply available.   As mentioned earlier, wind is a creation of solar power only.  The sun heats up different parts of the earth’s surface in different manners.  Each surface gets heated up at different pace.  The temperature near a water body would be lower than that of a rocky terrain.  As a surface gets heated up, the air over there gets heated up naturally.  This rise in temperature causes the air to move up.   This space gets occupied by fresh cool air and this process goes on, thus generating more wind.  Moving air is called wind.  Thus, we have seen that wind energy comes clean and is rather a cheap source of energy. and a great way to add to homemade solar power.
