No Chemicals, Only Natural

May 6th, 2009

Living on a farm has taught me more about growing things than I would have imagined. There is the turning of the soil, the watering cycle, and of course fertilizing the crops. Our family preferred not to use chemicals, so that meant we dug a lot of weeds. We had a few horses which meant we had all the organic fertilizer one could use. There was a trick or two I learnt about horse manure also. The first thing I learned was not to use it before it had a chance to mature. The second was keep it turned, like you would any compost. In my opinion it’s the best!
