Oak Furniture Survived Our Kids

We had eight kids and still have the same furniture my husband and I bought years ago.  The primary reason that our furniture, and our sanity, survived is that we had the foresight to listen to my own mother when she suggested we invest in good quality oak furniture.  She said we might as well buy something that would be beautiful and stand the test of time.  We saved our money and invested in several rooms of santana reclaimed oak furniture which we carefully maintained through the years.  Even at their wildest, our children were unable to steal the beauty of the furniture, and they couldn’t even manage to break the sturdy pieces.
