The word attic stands for upper storey. If you house is not correctly cooled and you have difficulty during the summers that one thing you need to check is you attic. Hot air may be entering your living area from the upper storey and you need to make minor adjustment to make your home comfortable even in scorching sun. The one thing you need to do for energy efficiency is to close you fireplaces during summers. Mostly they are not used in summers so if you will close them you will trap that cool air of ac which use to escape from these fire places and will save tons of your precious money.
