Families are finding out that it’s better for them to take security matters into their own hands. Law enforcement personnel are stretched so thin these days, and they are unable to assure protection to everyone in the community.

Your family security plan needs to address the needs of every family member. If you have small children in the family, look for potential hazards for them and make special arrangements to get them out of the house in case of an emergency. You also need to make special provisions for anyone in your household who is elderly. What are you going to do to keep that person safe and healthy?
