Where are Meccano Toys Made?

I have always wondered where certain toys are made. There are some that are obviously made in America and some that you really have not heard of before. Sometimes I do not know if I should by toys that I do not know where they are from. Brands like meccano do not sound familiar to me. However, I know someone who has something that they made so I trust them. I am more of a word of mouth follower then of faith. For man made items I should say. I think that they should be okay. I can take a few leaps.
