Inexpensive or Cheap Divorce - All in Eyes of Beholder

I originally felt that my divorce was a cheap divorce because I filed it myself. But I have since learned that my ex-husband’s divorce (the same one) was actually cheaper because he didn’t have custody of the kids, didn’t pay much in child support and got none of the bills from our marriage which was the only way he’d sign the paperwork. I guess an inexpensive divorce is all in the eyes of the beholder. In my case, the divorce was inexpensive. I didn’t pay a lawyer, and I had kids to support so I filed a poverty affidavit with the court so I wouldn’t have to pay the court costs either.
