My art with free photoshop textures

I’ve been digging around on flickr and deviantart and found so many cool layers that people are just giving away for you to use to make art. A lot of free photoshop textures are total crap, but if you look around you’ll find dozens of people who really care to make quality stock art. I’m using them for a layer on my illustrations. I do them in ink on paper first and then scan them in so I can colour the drawings in Photoshop. I’m trying to get my style right so I can start approaching graphic novel publishers with a proper portfolio of my work. I got some cool textures the other day and they just add that level of coolness to my work. I don’t have the time or the photographer’s eye to come up with them on my own, but if they’re free to use, why should I bother!
