I am so tired of having to take my ethernet connection everywhere I go when I am at home and at school!  It is always trustworthy and grants me fast internet access but it is really cumbersome and annoying to drag around.  My gift recommendation is for you to get a wireless router for either yourself or someone you know.  At your own home, it is a small enough area that you will have a flawless wireless connection.  I promise you that it will be just as good as plugging into the wall and without the hassle.  Having a wireless connection will also help you kick the bad habit of always having the power adapter plugged in, slowly draining your battery capacity.  Before you know, it you will be forking out one hundred and fifity dollars for a new battery.
