Training Your Labrador Puppy

May 7th, 2008

Puppy training is an ongoing process although substantial progress can be made in a matter of weeks depending on how much time and attention you spend on your puppy.   Needless to say your labrador puppy will have much more energy and patience than it’s new owner but you don’t really need to train for hours on end, a few minutes several times a day is all it takes and also makes things much more interesting for both puppy and trainer!  The first commands to try out on your new puppy are the basic ones such as sit, come, heel, stay and fetch. Your puppy, with your help, will soon learn these basic commands and then you can both move onto more demanding training.
