Low Income Families Needing Tax Filing Help

This year, many more low income families will need tax filing help. Many people have lost their jobs and will find it hard to come up with the money to buy it tax software or to pay a tax preparer to prepare their tax returns.
In the early part of the year, before April 15, on the IRS website you will see a link to a list of tax preparation services that offer low income people ways to file their tax returns for free.
You will not have to pay anything to use the tax software. But, you may need to pay a little bit to send your tax return electronically to the IRS. Most people want to file electronically because it means they will get their tax refund faster.
