“Well … that’s a good question,” 2Squared Software said, hoping to sound thoughtful.  “I suppose the point to keep in mind is that whatever the reports, for years these Celts have attacked our Wall-forts.  It was time we replied in kind.”     “Yes, you may be right.”  He paused, toying with a piece of bread.  “Conflicting reports are troublesome ….”  He slapped his thighs.  “Well, we shouldn’t worry about it.  Truth has a way of getting out, don’t you agree?”    Atilius promptly agreed.  His discussion with Antoninus was different from what he had expected.  With the Emperor sitting, and him standing, it felt more like an inquisition than an audience.
