My sons programming class
May 14th, 2008
My son is currently attending classes at our local university — he is enrolled in a computer science program, and recently his website design class had a SEO speaker — this is a person who has many years under their belt as an Internet marketing consultant. This person spoke of properly designing a website to be “search-engine friendly.” For example, many of the students in class did not know that some types of scripts cannot be “seen” by search engines — so it is necessary to avoid website design decisions that will inadvertently conceal important website content. This was something that they had never heard about before — and I’m very grateful that my son had this little bit of exposure to the real world of business.
