Colocation is a hosting option that allows he placement of your server in someone’s internet data center or rack alongside many others (running into hundreds) and share their bandwidth as if it was yours. It entails the installation of applications in a single data center. It is perfect for small businesses that love to have the features of a large IT department at little or no cost .The data center is managed to provide reasonable power connectivity and security. An easy instance to understand this is web hosting whereby there is a host server which provides a portal alongside other portals.
