Why doesn’t Nintendo want you to copy wii games?

All game makers of games and game systems do not want their players to be able to copy wii games or any other games on their systems because there is too much of a chance of these games being redistributed to many other people which in turn would make the game makers lose a lot of money. If there were a group of friends and only one friend bought a game and then made copies of it to give to each friend, then the game maker would lose the money that those other friends would have given in order to have the game themselves.
