Grandmas Really Do Love To Spoil Their Grandchildren

July 1st, 2008

I was walking around a flea market in South Florida eating snow cones with my grandson.  He wanted to see if he could find some toy soldiers to play with when we got home.  I wanted to see if anyone had any cheap luggage for sale.  Jon had been staying with me for part of the summer while his parents worked overtime to make some extra money and not have to pay a baby sitter.  As grandmother, I felt it was my duty to spoil the little man.  So we went shopping at least once a week.  Most of the shopping we did was at yard sales and flea markets because he thinks they are fun and I love a bargain.  Turns out, I needed another suitcase to send all the bargains home.  His parents made money with their extra time and I saved them money with my flea market purchases.  Win – Win!
